With the presidential election long behind them, two of the parties’ top flacks joined forces in a show of bald bipartisanship Sunday on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos. ” Thanks to a little buzz shear help from ABC News’ Jon Karl, Democratic National Committee spokesperson Brad Woodhouse and Republican National Committee spokesperson Sean Spicer lost their locks on our show — and it’s all for a good cause. Before the election, the DNC’s Woodhouse tweeted a bet to his Republican counterpart, Spicer. The deal: Whoever’s candidate won the election would shave the loser’s head, on national television. But rather than let Spicer go bald alone, the pair decided to team up to support the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a national non-profit that raises money for childhood cancer research grants by shaving the heads of volunteers.

Key:

  • Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
  • The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
  • The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).

Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.

Firefighters say a fire at a workshop for disabled people in southwestern Germany has killed 14 and injured at least six others. Markus Straub, a spokesman for local firefighters, said there was no immediate information on why the building in Titisee-Neustadt, near the city of Freiburg, caught fire Monday. The center employs some 120 people with either mental of physical disabilities in a variety of jobs including metalwork, woodwork and electrical installation, according to the facility's website. The center in the Black Forest region is run by the Catholic Church's Caritas organization. Straub said some 100 firefighters were battling the flames.
