New Jersey Democratic Sen. Menendez wins second term
Excerpt:TRENTON, N.J. – New Jersey voters on Tuesday sent U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez back to Washington for another six-year term in a lopsided race in which the Republican challenger never figured out a way to dent the better-known, cash-flush incumbent. Menendez, a 58-year-old Democrat, easily defeated veteran state Sen. Joe Kyrillos, 52, who was making his first bid for Senate. He ran for Congress in 1992, his only other losing campaign in a quarter-century political career. Menendez also outraised Kyrillos nearly 3-to-1, according to the latest federal election filings. "In this election, I wanted to run a positive campaign that ended the politics of personal destruction that we have seen over the last decade in New Jersey," Menendez said.

Key:
- Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
- The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
- The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).
Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
